Mintha valami j\u00e1t\u00e9kban vettek volna r\u00e9szt: az vesz\u00edt, aki elr\u00f6h\u00f6gi mag\u00e1t, vagy aki megsz\u00f3lal. Negyed\u00f3r\u00e1nk\u00e9nt m\u00e9giscsak megt\u00f6rte a csendet az egyik, megk\u00e9rdezve a m\u00e1sikat, hogy k\u00e9r-e m\u00e9g egy fr\u00f6ccs\u00f6t. Ahogy megkapt\u00e1k, kortyolgatt\u00e1k, \u00e9s tov\u00e1bbra sem vett\u00e9k le egym\u00e1sr\u00f3l a szem\u00fcket. And how do we see ourselves through his eyes? This witty, honest, and charming book offers a unique perspective on living in P\u00e9cs and Budapest \u2013 with music, language mishaps, and a lot of heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>English body text:<\/strong><br>I bought this book a few weeks ago after watching a literary interview.<br>As a Hungarian, I view France from my own cultural lens.<br>I was curious to see how a French-born man views Hungary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I really enjoy his humor and that effortless French charm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Plot<\/strong><br>The story begins twenty years ago when a university student arrives at the Sziget Festival.<br>What he sees has such an impact that he returns for a semester,<br>then another, then falls in love, and finally starts playing music in P\u00e9cs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Characters<\/strong><br>After all my recent reads, it was a fresh experience to follow a story with just one main character.<br>(It wasn\u2019t a conscious choice \u2013 it just turned out that way.)<br>We follow the journey of a French guy, his teaching job, and the hilarious situations he gets into thanks to the Hungarian language.<br>We also follow his evolving career in the music industry:<br>at first a tango accordionist, then a guitarist, concert organizer,<br>and eventually a middle manager at an online company representing musicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each month, we meet a new supporting character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Setting<\/strong><br>The story begins in Budapest.<br>Then he lands a teaching job in P\u00e9cs.<br>From there, we occasionally peek into places from Bulgaria to Occitania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conflict<\/strong><br>There\u2019s no traditional conflict here like in an adventure novel \u2013<br>although there\u2019s no shortage of adventures.<br>For me, the dramatic high point is the midlife crisis.<br>I liked that the resolution wasn\u2019t:<br>\u201cAlright, let\u2019s just change everything in our life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why do I recommend it?<\/strong><br>Because the interview I saw said it would be funny \u2013 and it was.<br>Because it won a Marg\u00f3 Prize \u2013<br>an award given to first-time authors whose books are considered the best of the year.<br>Sure, it\u2019s subjective, but one thing is certain: no bad book gets nominated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(It reminds me of wine rankings: a gold medal might not mean it\u2019s the best wine,<br>but it surely means it\u2019s not a bad one.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don\u2019t know the whole book market,<br>so I can\u2019t say whether this was the best debut of 2025,<br>but I do know that buying this book was a great decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I had a wonderful time reading it \u2013<br>and I think that\u2019s the point.<br>That\u2019s why we do this \u2013<br>so that the reader, for at least those few sentences,<br>feels good walking through our thoughts and world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And in this case, that worked beautifully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who do I recommend it to?<\/strong><br>To anyone who loves humorous books.<br>To anyone who likes to pause at the end of a chapter and pick it up later with the same excitement.<br>To anyone curious about the soul of Hungarian society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hurghada, Monday, January 19, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mon pays et ma maison<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Introduction fran\u00e7aise :<\/strong> <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comment un Fran\u00e7ais voit-il la Hongrie ? Un livre plein d\u2019humour, de sinc\u00e9rit\u00e9 et de tendresse sur la vie \u00e0 P\u00e9cs, \u00e0 Budapest \u2013 et dans les pi\u00e8ges de la langue hongroise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Texte principal en fran\u00e7ais :<\/strong><br>J\u2019ai achet\u00e9 ce livre il y a quelques semaines apr\u00e8s avoir vu une interview litt\u00e9raire.<br>Moi, en tant que Hongrois, je regarde la France avec mes yeux \u00e0 moi.<br>J\u2019\u00e9tais curieux de voir comment un Fran\u00e7ais de naissance per\u00e7oit la Hongrie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J\u2019aime beaucoup son humour et cette d\u00e9contraction typiquement fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Intrigue<\/strong><br>L\u2019histoire commence il y a vingt ans, lorsqu\u2019un \u00e9tudiant arrive au festival Sziget.<br>Ce qu\u2019il y d\u00e9couvre le marque tellement qu\u2019il revient pour un semestre,<br>puis un autre, tombe amoureux,<br>et commence \u00e0 faire de la musique \u00e0 P\u00e9cs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Personnages<\/strong><br>Apr\u00e8s mes lectures des derniers mois, ce fut une exp\u00e9rience nouvelle de lire une histoire avec un seul personnage principal.<br>(Ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas un choix conscient \u2013 les choses se sont juste pass\u00e9es ainsi.)<br>On suit ce jeune Fran\u00e7ais dans son travail d\u2019enseignant et dans les situations comiques provoqu\u00e9es par la langue hongroise.<br>On suit aussi l\u2019\u00e9volution de sa carri\u00e8re dans l\u2019industrie musicale :<br>d\u2019abord accord\u00e9oniste de tango, puis guitariste, organisateur de concerts,<br>et enfin cadre interm\u00e9diaire dans une entreprise en ligne qui g\u00e8re des musiciens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chaque mois, on d\u00e9couvre un nouveau personnage secondaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Lieu<\/strong><br>L\u2019histoire commence \u00e0 Budapest.<br>Puis, il obtient un poste d\u2019enseignant \u00e0 P\u00e9cs.<br>De l\u00e0, on fait parfois des excursions vers la Bulgarie ou l\u2019Occitanie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Conflit<\/strong><br>Il n\u2019y a pas ici de conflit classique comme dans un roman d\u2019aventure \u2013<br>quoique les aventures ne manquent pas.<br>Pour moi, le point culminant dramatique est la crise de la quarantaine.<br>Ce que j\u2019ai aim\u00e9, c\u2019est que la solution n\u2019est pas :<br>\u00ab Bon, alors changeons toute notre vie. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pourquoi je le recommande ?<\/strong><br>Parce que l\u2019interview disait que ce serait dr\u00f4le \u2013 et c\u2019est vrai.<br>Parce qu\u2019il a re\u00e7u le prix Marg\u00f3 \u2013<br>un prix d\u00e9cern\u00e9 aux premiers auteurs dont le livre est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l\u2019un des meilleurs de l\u2019ann\u00e9e.<br>C\u2019est peut-\u00eatre subjectif,<br>mais une chose est s\u00fbre : aucun mauvais livre n\u2019est nomm\u00e9 pour ce prix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(\u00c7a me rappelle les concours de vins : une m\u00e9daille d\u2019or ne garantit pas que c\u2019est le meilleur vin,<br>mais elle garantit que ce n\u2019est pas un mauvais.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Je ne connais pas tout le march\u00e9 du livre,<br>donc je ne peux pas dire si c\u2019\u00e9tait le meilleur premier roman de 2025,<br>mais je sais que j\u2019ai bien fait d\u2019acheter ce roman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J\u2019ai pass\u00e9 un excellent moment \u00e0 le lire \u2013<br>et je pense que c\u2019est \u00e7a, l\u2019essentiel.<br>C\u2019est pour \u00e7a qu\u2019on \u00e9crit \u2013<br>pour que le lecteur, au moins pendant quelques phrases,<br>en parcourant nos pens\u00e9es,<br>se sente bien dans notre monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Et l\u00e0, c\u2019est tr\u00e8s r\u00e9ussi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00c0 qui je le recommande ?<\/strong><br>\u00c0 tous ceux qui aiment les lectures dr\u00f4les.<br>\u00c0 ceux qui aiment pouvoir s\u2019arr\u00eater \u00e0 la fin d\u2019un chapitre<br>et reprendre plus tard avec le m\u00eame plaisir.<br>\u00c0 ceux qui s\u2019int\u00e9ressent \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2me de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 hongroise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hurghada, lundi 19 janvier 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mit l\u00e1t egy francia f\u00e9rfi Magyarorsz\u00e1gban? \u00c9s mit l\u00e1tunk mi \u0151benne?
