What was good about today?<\/strong> I am a madman!<\/p>\n\n

What am I doing right now?<\/strong> I’m lying in a hammock on the beach below Montpellier, listening to the waves, with a diary on my knee. I hope to be able to read tomorrow what I scribbled in the twilight.<\/p>\n\n

My morning plan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

At ten this morning I had planned to go to the nearby beach of Saint Marie. On the one hand, Tiffany went there – which is good in itself, but I’m afraid she was accompanied by her obnoxious colleagues, whom I don’t like to see – even during working hours. So at ten in the morning. I bought the special five euro train ticket.<\/p>\n\n

Last weekend’s help<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Last weekend (which for me was Tuesday or Wednesday) I helped the old Beaupied couple in their garden. We agreed that I’d come back next week and we’d discuss exactly when; but we didn’t.<\/p>\n\n

I don’t think it’s fair that I didn’t check exactly what they wanted to do this week, but it’s not in my interest to force them to do gardening. I’m happy to do it, and it increasingly seems to be as much fun as cooking, but I don’t like working on my days off.<\/p>\n\n

I wanted to go shopping anyway, and maybe get a haircut and some<\/p>\n\n

Tarascon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

So I waited until 10:30 and then took a scooter to Tarascon station.It was market day in Tarascon. I had lunch at the barbecue. I saw a linen shirt for thirty euros; in the shop it was fifty; maybe I won’t regret leaving it there. I have enough anyway.<\/p>\n\n

On the beach<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

As soon as I got off the train at Saint Roch station, I went straight to the beach. I spent the afternoon swimming in the sea, collecting shells, finishing another book, buying cherries, baguettes and drinks in the shop, but I wasn’t very hungry. Tomorrow will be good.It’s good to be here.<\/p>\n

Qu’est-ce qui \u00e9tait bien aujourd’hui ? <\/strong>Je suis un fou !<\/p>\n\n

Qu’est-ce que je fais en ce moment ? <\/strong>Je suis allong\u00e9 dans un hamac sur la plage en bas de Montpellier, \u00e9coutant les vagues, un journal sur les genoux.<\/p>\n\n

J’esp\u00e8re pouvoir lire demain ce que j’ai griffonn\u00e9 aujourd’hui dans la p\u00e9nombre.<\/p>\n\n

Mon plan du matin<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

\u00c0 dix heures ce matin, j’avais pr\u00e9vu d’aller \u00e0 la plage Sainte-Marie, toute proche. D’une part, Tiffany y est all\u00e9e – ce qui est bien en soi, mais je crains qu’elle y ait \u00e9t\u00e9 accompagn\u00e9e par ses odieuses coll\u00e8gues, que je n’aime pas rencontrer – m\u00eame pendant les heures de travail.\u00c0 dix heures du matin, j’ai donc achet\u00e9 le billet de train sp\u00e9cial \u00e0 cinq euros.<\/p>\n\n

L’aide du week-end dernier<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Le week-end dernier (c’est-\u00e0-dire mardi ou mercredi), j’ai aid\u00e9 le vieux couple Beaupied dans le jardin.Nous avons convenu que je reviendrais la semaine prochaine et nous avons discut\u00e9 de la date exacte ; mais nous ne l’avons pas fait.<\/p>\n\n

Je trouve injuste de ne pas avoir v\u00e9rifi\u00e9 exactement ce qu’ils aimeraient faire cette semaine, mais il n’est pas dans mon int\u00e9r\u00eat de forcer le jardinage.Je suis heureuse de le faire, et de plus en plus, cela semble \u00eatre aussi amusant que de cuisiner, mais je n’aime pas travailler pendant mes jours de cong\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n

J’ai donc attendu jusqu’\u00e0 10h30, puis j’ai pris un scooter jusqu’\u00e0 la gare de Tarascon.C’\u00e9tait jour de march\u00e9 \u00e0 Tarascon. J’ai d\u00e9jeun\u00e9 au four \u00e0 grillades. J’ai vu une chemise en lin \u00e0 trente euros ; dans le magasin elle \u00e9tait \u00e0 cinquante ; peut-\u00eatre que je ne regretterai pas de l’avoir laiss\u00e9e l\u00e0. J’en ai assez de toute fa\u00e7on.<\/p>\n\n

Sur la plage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

D\u00e8s que je suis descendu du train \u00e0 la gare de Saint-Roch, je me suis dirig\u00e9 directement vers la plage. L’apr\u00e8s-midi, j’avais nag\u00e9 dans la mer, ramass\u00e9 des coquillages, termin\u00e9 un autre livre, achet\u00e9 des cerises, des baguettes et des boissons au magasin, mais je n’avais pas tr\u00e8s faim. Demain sera bon.C’est agr\u00e9able d’\u00eatre ici.<\/p>\n\n
