We owe the Covid vaccine to her.<br \/>Ferenc Krausz is an atomic scientist living in Germany. To put it imprecisely: he managed to study the atom, time, and light by breaking them down into such small parts that it is incomprehensible to the average person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For a small country, where I also come from, this is a tremendous joy. The saying goes: the best export commodity of Hungarians is their intellect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, I am thrilled about these Nobel Prizes. However, living here in France, it made me wonder what any of my colleagues would think if I told them. Because I have to tell them; for example, do we know who received the other prizes? They will ask why they are Hungarian. Why is this a Hungarian achievement? Oh, because they come from there &#8211; from Eastern Europe. My suspicion is that the local newspapers will present it like this: Katalin Karik\u00f3, who created the Covid vaccine. She conducts research in America and Germany. Ferenc Krausz, who conducted an experiment that no one had done before, thus creating a new field of science. He is the director of an atomic physics institute in Munich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s interesting how the nationality of the awardees is not mentioned in the non-Hungarian media.<br \/>How do they interpret the map in Western Europe? There is Europe, and there is Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two Hungarian guys in France say that this is Europe here. Maybe they were right somewhere. If we look at the map, we can still accurately point out where the Iron Curtain was in the 20th century. So there is Western Europe and there is the Eastern Bloc. Europe is not unified. I understand, there is a European Union. Where there are those who are comfortable, and there are the workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, everything is relative. A lot depends on what and where we look from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/laszlo8360.files.wordpress.com\/2023\/10\/bereal-2023-10-01-0145-1.jpeg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3977\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5 octobre 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En l&#8217;espace de deux jours, deux scientifiques d&#8217;origine hongroise ont re\u00e7u le Prix Nobel !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Katalin Karik\u00f3 vit en Am\u00e9rique. Nous lui devons le vaccin contre la Covid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ferenc Krausz est un scientifique atomique vivant en Allemagne. Pour simplifier, il a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 \u00e9tudier l&#8217;atome, le temps et la lumi\u00e8re en les d\u00e9composant en si petites parties que c&#8217;est incompr\u00e9hensible pour la personne ordinaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour un petit pays, d&#8217;o\u00f9 je viens aussi, c&#8217;est une joie immense. Ce n&#8217;est pas par hasard que l&#8217;on dit que le meilleur produit d&#8217;exportation des Hongrois est leur intellect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bien s\u00fbr, je suis ravi de ces Prix Nobel. Cependant, vivant ici en France, je me demande ce que pensera n&#8217;importe lequel de mes coll\u00e8gues si je leur raconte cela. Car je dois le leur dire ; par exemple, savons-nous qui a re\u00e7u les autres prix ? On va demander pourquoi ils sont hongrois. Pourquoi est-ce un exploit hongrois ? Oh, parce qu&#8217;ils viennent de l\u00e0-bas &#8211; de l&#8217;Europe de l&#8217;Est. J&#8217;ai le soup\u00e7on que les journaux locaux vont pr\u00e9senter cela ainsi : Katalin Karik\u00f3, celle qui a cr\u00e9\u00e9 le vaccin contre la Covid. Elle fait des recherches en Am\u00e9rique et en Allemagne. Ferenc Krausz, celui qui a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 une exp\u00e9rience que personne n&#8217;avait faite auparavant, cr\u00e9ant ainsi un nouveau domaine scientifique. Il est le directeur d&#8217;un institut de physique atomique \u00e0 Munich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il est int\u00e9ressant de constater que la nationalit\u00e9 des laur\u00e9ats n&#8217;est pas mentionn\u00e9e dans les m\u00e9dias non hongrois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comment interpr\u00e8tent-ils la carte en Europe de l&#8217;Ouest ? Il y a l&#8217;Europe, et il y a l&#8217;Europe de l&#8217;Est.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les deux gars hongrois en France disent que c&#8217;est l&#8217;Europe ici. Peut-\u00eatre avaient-ils raison quelque part. Si nous regardons la carte, nous pouvons toujours indiquer avec pr\u00e9cision o\u00f9 se trouvait le rideau de fer au XXe si\u00e8cle. Donc il y a l&#8217;Europe de l&#8217;Ouest et il y a le bloc de l&#8217;Est. L&#8217;Europe n&#8217;est pas unifi\u00e9e. Je comprends, il y a une Union europ\u00e9enne.
