I wonder when a person makes a good decision? Who decides which is the right decision? Perhaps we should entrust these questions to God, karma, or Valhalla!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don’t want to talk to those friends of mine who tell me that this was a foolish move and that was a bad decision. There are a thousand and one ways to unsettle someone. Please, do this in a more restrained manner! If there’s no better idea, then just ask, are you sure you want this? Well, no! I’m not sure if this is the right thing to do. However, at this very moment, none of the options appeal to me. Each one is bad in its own way. I have now chosen to come to France to learn French. This, however, is not a wise decision because I haven’t even submitted my application yet. So, I might receive money from the state, but for now, one thing is certain: today is Thursday, and Sunday will be my last working day. On Monday, I’ll go to the French office to apply for a scholarship for a beginner’s French language course. I’ll be staying at the hotel. My boss asked me not to tell anyone, but this is a family-run hotel, and everyone knows everything here! Two things worry me: without my boss, I can’t handle the state support (that’s how French law works), and among the two of us, only I have an interest. I don’t like being dependent on the goodwill of others. On the other hand, he’s doing me a favor by letting me use the hotel, and in return, he’d like me to do him a favor. Like gardening, maintenance, for example. What worries me is that we haven’t clarified exactly how many days of favor he’s asking for. Add to that, my state support and accommodation cost me nothing. It’s natural for me to help him because he’s also been good to me. I would just be happy if everything were phrased in concrete terms, rather than being expressed in a vague manner. But of course! It does matter whose interest it is\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next year, we’ll have a new team. Perhaps I’m the only one saying that I’ll come back next year. Everyone says this is a lousy job. I agree. However, the other places are bad for different reasons. Raise your hand if you’ve found the perfect job! There are different problems elsewhere, but at least we already know the problems here. Next year, there will be a new team here as well. Somewhere else too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will miss my colleagues from this year. For the sparkle in Bea’s eyes, I would have given my world in June. Bea is a bit more sophisticated than she appears. I like her just the way she is. Morgan, the perpetually cheerful and laid-back girl. She can brighten anyone’s day at any time. Giovanni is a passionate chef who is truly brilliant when allowed to unfold. There are some who are somewhat simpler (like a bunch of chamomile flowers), yet I consider them a true friend whose heart is always in the right place. Everyone was valuable for different reasons. Unfortunately, compared to a real luxury hotel, we were a ragtag group, but we still form an experienced team together. And if, by chance, everyone were to come back next year, we would already know each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Based on that, it would be possible to create a well-functioning team\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On one hand, I’m glad to stay in Provence. On the other hand, I’ve already envisioned going home and visiting my acquaintances. I miss them all. Just the other day, I wrote to R\u00e9ka telling her I’m coming. One thing I especially appreciate about her is that we understand each other without words. And it’s really sweet when she worries about me. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll also visit my family. I’m curious about what’s happening with each of them. I talk to them sometimes, but often, I feel like a distant uncle. In fact, I’ve become one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Est-ce que l’homme prend de bonnes d\u00e9cisions ? Qui d\u00e9cide quelle est la bonne d\u00e9cision ? Peut-\u00eatre devrions-nous confier ces questions \u00e0 Dieu, au karma, \u00e0 Valhalla !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je ne veux pas parler avec mes amis qui me disent que c’\u00e9tait une b\u00eatise et que c’\u00e9tait une mauvaise d\u00e9cision. Il y a mille et une fa\u00e7ons de d\u00e9stabiliser quelqu’un. S’il vous pla\u00eet, faites-le de mani\u00e8re plus mod\u00e9r\u00e9e ! S’il n’y a pas de meilleure id\u00e9e, demandez simplement : es-tu s\u00fbr(e) de vouloir faire \u00e7a ? Eh bien non ! Je ne suis pas s\u00fbr(e) que ce soit la bonne chose \u00e0 faire. Cependant, pour l’instant, aucune des options ne me s\u00e9duit. J’ai choisi de venir \u00e9tudier le fran\u00e7ais en France. Ce n’est pas une d\u00e9cision sage, car je n’ai m\u00eame pas encore soumis ma candidature. Donc, je pourrais recevoir de l’argent de l’\u00c9tat, mais pour l’instant, une chose est certaine : aujourd’hui, c’est jeudi et dimanche sera mon dernier jour de travail. Lundi, je vais demander une bourse en fran\u00e7ais pour un cours de langue d\u00e9butant au bureau fran\u00e7ais. Je vais loger \u00e0 l’h\u00f4tel. Mon patron m’a demand\u00e9 de ne le dire \u00e0 personne, mais c’est un h\u00f4tel familial, tout le monde sait tout ici ! Deux choses me pr\u00e9occupent : sans mon patron, je ne peux pas demander de soutien de l’\u00c9tat (c’est ainsi dans la loi fran\u00e7aise), et parmi nous deux, seul moi suis concern\u00e9. Je n’aime pas d\u00e9pendre de la bonne volont\u00e9 des autres. D’un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, il me rend service en me permettant d’utiliser l’h\u00f4tel, et en \u00e9change, il aimerait que je lui rende service. Comme faire du jardinage, de l’entretien, par exemple. Ce qui m’inqui\u00e8te, c’est que nous n’avons pas pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 combien de jours de service il demande exactement. Ajoutez \u00e0 cela que ma bourse d’\u00c9tat et mon h\u00e9bergement ne co\u00fbtent pas un sou. Il est naturel pour moi de l’aider, car il est \u00e9galement bon envers moi. Je serais simplement heureux si tout \u00e9tait formul\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re concr\u00e8te, au lieu d’\u00eatre exprim\u00e9 de fa\u00e7on vague. Mais bien s\u00fbr ! Ce qui compte, c’est l’int\u00e9r\u00eat de chacun\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’ann\u00e9e prochaine, nous aurons une nouvelle \u00e9quipe. Peut-\u00eatre suis-je le seul \u00e0 dire que je reviendrai l’ann\u00e9e prochaine. Tout le monde dit que c’est un travail minable. Je suis d’accord. Cependant, les autres endroits sont aussi mauvais pour d’autres raisons. Que celui qui a trouv\u00e9 le lieu de travail parfait l\u00e8ve la main ! Il y a d’autres probl\u00e8mes ailleurs, mais au moins nous connaissons d\u00e9j\u00e0 les probl\u00e8mes d’ici. L’ann\u00e9e prochaine, il y aura une nouvelle \u00e9quipe ici aussi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je vais m’ennuyer de mes coll\u00e8gues de cette ann\u00e9e. Pour le regard brillant de Bea, j’aurais donn\u00e9 mes yeux en juin. Bea est un peu plus sophistiqu\u00e9e qu’elle ne le laisse para\u00eetre. Je l’appr\u00e9cie telle qu’elle est. Morgan, cette fille d\u00e9contract\u00e9e qui semble toujours de bonne humeur. Elle sait \u00e9gayer la journ\u00e9e de n’importe qui, \u00e0 n’importe quel moment. Giovanni est un chef passionn\u00e9 qui est vraiment g\u00e9nial quand on le laisse s’\u00e9panouir. Il y a quelqu’un de plus simple (comme un bouquet de camomille), mais je le consid\u00e8re comme un v\u00e9ritable ami dont le c\u0153ur est toujours \u00e0 la bonne place. Chacun \u00e9tait pr\u00e9cieux pour des raisons diff\u00e9rentes. Malheureusement, par rapport \u00e0 un v\u00e9ritable h\u00f4tel de luxe, nous \u00e9tions une \u00e9quipe disparate, mais nous formons quand m\u00eame une \u00e9quipe exp\u00e9riment\u00e9e. Et si tout le monde revenait l’ann\u00e9e prochaine, nous saurions d\u00e9j\u00e0 quels sont les points forts et les points faibles de chacun. Sur cette base, il serait possible de cr\u00e9er une \u00e9quipe bien fonctionnelle\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D’une part, je suis content de rester en Provence. D’autre part, je me suis d\u00e9j\u00e0 imagin\u00e9 rentrer chez moi et rendre visite \u00e0 mes connaissances. Ils me manquent tous. R\u00e9cemment, j’ai \u00e9crit \u00e0 R\u00e9ka pour lui dire que je venais. J’appr\u00e9cie notamment le fait que nous nous comprenons sans mots. Et c’est trop mignon quand elle se soucie de moi. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je rendrai \u00e9galement visite \u00e0 ma famille. Je suis curieux de savoir ce qui leur arrive \u00e0 chacun. Je leur parle parfois, mais souvent, je me sens comme un oncle \u00e9loign\u00e9. En fait, c’est devenu ainsi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
