How interesting that in Barcelona, I slept like a log, and now\u2026 When do I sleep well? When do I sleep poorly? What’s the connection?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today I noticed that five days a week, I practically live on bread and water, and I quite like it. The fresh baguettes are delicious. I adore homemade Nutella and various jams. The orange jam turned out particularly well. I have a bunch of cheese, a large selection of sausages. I bought some vegetables and fruits. I’m doing well. However, for a change, today I’ll go to the market to get breakfast and lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Maussane, it’s on Thursdays, in Arles on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and in Fontvieille on Mondays. The trick in Arles is that they have it in two different places on two days. On Wednesday (when I was here in the summer, it was on Tuesdays, but now the newspaper says it’s on Wednesdays), it runs along the circular road along the city walls, and on Saturday, they close the main street, Boulevard Lyce. Last time, I managed to wander around the stalls for two hours. Local traders are at the touristy end of the street, and towards the riverside, there’s a bustling Arab bazaar. In the middle, there’s roasted chicken and steaming paella.
I regret not buying the keychain from the craftsman last time. Carved from olive wood into an olive. I haven’t seen the man since. I didn’t leave my shirt there either. Nor the paella. I brought home some Thai food. I enjoyed the \u20ac5 roasted chicken with rosemary potatoes on the spot in the square. Passing by the spice vendor felt like someone had wandered into a perfume store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caf\u00e9 Meidano. Remember this name if you’re looking for a good bakery. It operates on other days as well. It seems that the croissant doesn’t come from a freezer here. The pain au chocolat dough is much softer than elsewhere, not overly dried out. Besides, the pastries are quite tempting. I’ll find the sock vendor next week. Because the \u20ac3 wool socks turned out to be truly comfortable and warm. At first, it seemed unusual when the fishmonger, by the counter, dissected and tasted the daily catch, but I think there’s no better proof of freshness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over afternoon tea, let’s have a small financial summary of my spending in the past week:
Paella \u20ac8, burek \u20ac6, Thai noodles \u20ac5.50, curry chicken \u20ac5, three avocados \u20ac2.50, a kilogram of homemade bread \u20ac4.60, olives \u20ac2.20, two pairs of socks \u20ac6, a shirt \u20ac15, chicken with potatoes \u20ac5, creamy bacon potatoes \u20ac8, four macarons \u20ac4, tea at the spice shop \u20ac5, pain au chocolat \u20ac2, coffee \u20ac1.80, a box of extra good instant coffee \u20ac4, honey \u20ac5.
This is all my spending for one week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll go down to the beach to photograph the sunset, then I’ll sit in a bar – just to be among people, and then I’ll go back to the hotel, where within a hundred meters, I can only converse with the wind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the way, what kind of town am I currently living in? Almost everything is closed at seven in the evening. At eight in the evening, even the remaining open bars are stacking chairs around me.
Nightlife? There’s no life here at all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Quel est ce curieux ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne, que je dors comme un loir \u00e0 Barcelone, et maintenant\u2026 Quand est-ce que je dors bien ? Quand est-ce que je dors mal ? Quel est le lien ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Aujourd’hui, j’ai remarqu\u00e9 que cinq jours par semaine, je vis pratiquement de pain et d’eau, et cela me pla\u00eet \u00e9norm\u00e9ment. Les baguettes fra\u00eeches sont d\u00e9licieuses. J’adore la Nutella maison et les diff\u00e9rentes confitures. La confiture d’orange a particuli\u00e8rement bien r\u00e9ussi. J’ai tout un assortiment de fromages, une grande bo\u00eete de saucisses. J’ai achet\u00e9 quelques l\u00e9gumes, des fruits. Je me d\u00e9brouille bien. Cependant, pour changer, aujourd’hui, je vais au march\u00e9 pour prendre le petit d\u00e9jeuner et le d\u00e9jeuner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u00c0 Maussane, c’est le jeudi, \u00e0 Arles le mardi et le samedi, et \u00e0 Fontvieille le lundi. Le truc \u00e0 Arles, c’est qu’ils le font \u00e0 deux endroits pendant deux jours. Le mercredi (quand j’\u00e9tais ici en \u00e9t\u00e9, c’\u00e9tait le mardi, mais maintenant le journal dit que c’est le mercredi), il longe la route circulaire le long des remparts de la ville, et le samedi, ils ferment la rue principale, le Boulevard Lyce. La derni\u00e8re fois, j’ai r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 errer parmi les \u00e9tals pendant deux heures. Les commer\u00e7ants locaux sont \u00e0 l’extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 touristique de la rue, et vers le bord de la rivi\u00e8re, il y a une agitation de bazar arabe. Au milieu, il y a du poulet r\u00f4ti et de la paella qui fume.
    Je regrette de ne pas avoir achet\u00e9 le porte-cl\u00e9s chez l’artisan la derni\u00e8re fois. Sculpt\u00e9 dans du bois d’olivier en forme d’olive. Je n’ai pas revu l’homme depuis. Je n’ai pas laiss\u00e9 ma chemise l\u00e0 non plus. Ni la paella, et j’ai ramen\u00e9 un peu de nourriture tha\u00eflandaise. J’ai d\u00e9gust\u00e9 le poulet r\u00f4ti de 5 \u20ac avec des pommes de terre au romarin sur place sur la place. Passer devant le vendeur d’\u00e9pices \u00e9tait pour moi comme si quelqu’un \u00e9tait entr\u00e9 dans un magasin de parfums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Caf\u00e9 Meidano. Il faut retenir ce nom si vous cherchez une bonne boulangerie. Il fonctionne aussi les autres jours. Il semble que le croissant ne vienne pas d’un cong\u00e9lateur ici. La p\u00e2te de pain au chocolat est beaucoup plus douce qu’ailleurs, elle n’est pas trop dess\u00e9ch\u00e9e. D’ailleurs, les p\u00e2tisseries sont assez tentantes. Je trouverai la dame qui vend des chaussettes la semaine prochaine. Parce que les chaussettes en laine de 3 \u20ac se sont av\u00e9r\u00e9es vraiment confortables et chaudes. Au d\u00e9but, cela semblait inhabituel lorsque le poissonnier, \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 du comptoir, diss\u00e9quait et go\u00fbtait la p\u00eache du jour, mais je pense qu’il n’y a pas de meilleure preuve de fra\u00eecheur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Autour d’un th\u00e9 chaud dans l’apr\u00e8s-midi, faisons un petit bilan financier de mes d\u00e9penses de la semaine derni\u00e8re :
    Paella 8 \u20ac, burek 6 \u20ac, nouilles tha\u00eflandaises 5,50 \u20ac, poulet au curry 5 \u20ac, trois avocats 2,50 \u20ac, un kilogramme de pain maison 4,60 \u20ac, olives 2,20 \u20ac, deux paires de chaussettes 6 \u20ac, une chemise 15 \u20ac, pommes de terre avec du poulet : 5 \u20ac, pommes de terre \u00e0 la cr\u00e8me et au bacon 8 \u20ac, quatre macarons 4 \u20ac, th\u00e9 chez le marchand d’\u00e9pices 5 \u20ac, pain au chocolat 2 \u20ac, caf\u00e9 1,80 \u20ac, une bo\u00eete de caf\u00e9 instantan\u00e9 extra bon 4 \u20ac, miel 5 \u20ac.
    C’est toutes mes d\u00e9penses pour une semaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Je descendrai encore \u00e0 la plage pour photographier le coucher de soleil, puis je m’installerai dans un bar – juste pour \u00eatre parmi les gens, et ensuite je retournerai \u00e0 l’h\u00f4tel, o\u00f9 dans un rayon de cent m\u00e8tres, je ne pourrai parler qu’avec le vent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Au fait, dans quelle sorte de petite ville est-ce que je vis en ce moment ? Presque tout est ferm\u00e9 \u00e0 sept heures du soir. \u00c0 huit heures du soir, m\u00eame les bars restants ouverts empilent les chaises autour de moi.
    Vie nocturne ? Il n’y a pas de vie ici du tout !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Az\u00f3ta sem l\u00e1ttam a b\u00e1csit. Az inget m\u00e1r nem hagytam ott. Meg a Paell\u00e1t sem \u00e9s hoztam haza egy kis thai kaj\u00e1t. Az \u00f6t eur\u00f3s s\u00fclt csirk\u00e9t a rozmaringos krumplival helyben fogyasztottam a t\u00e9ren. A f\u0171szer \u00e1rus mellett elmenni olyan volt nekem, mintha m\u00e1s beszabadult volna egy parf\u00fcm boltba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Caf\u00e9 Meidano. Ezt a nevet kell megjegyezni, ha finom p\u00e9ks\u00e9get keresek.
