Anyway, just wanted to give you a quick update that my bus is still scheduled to depart at 09:25. I wake up at seven and rush because I want to eat a delicious Hungarian fried sausage and sausage with lots of cucumber and nettle jam before departure.
The comfortable bus takes us quickly to the Slovenian border. At the border, everyone is asked to exit the motorway. The police only check the car’s papers. After passing the Ljubljana checkpoint, they inspect the boot and talk to both drivers. We arrived at the Italian border by the sea and were greeted by a friendly policeman who spoke to the driver right in front of me.
He kindly asked, ‘Are you coming from Budapest?’
The driver replied with a smile, ‘Yes.’
The policeman then asked, ‘Are you bringing Hungarian tourists to Italy?’
The driver replied, ‘No, today we are partners of Flixbus.’

Two Italian policemen then boarded the bus and checked the passports of non-Italians, Slovenians, or Hungarians with great care and attention.
We arrived in Venice at 21:15, which was 1 hour and 25 minutes later than expected. Despite the heavy rain, I was determined to continue with my plans. I had two options: spend the next three hours at the bus station located on the lower level of the Tronchetto car park or take my chances and explore the city. I made sure to dress appropriately to avoid catching a cold. I hope you’re doing well and staying dry! The thermometer reads eighteen degrees. I’ve been longing to visit this city for a week now. As I arrive at Piazzale Rome, I pull
the hood of my jacket over my head. The barista gives me a curious look as I sigh at the aroma of authentic Italian espresso. I’m truly relishing this experience.
However, I’m still unaware of the name of the half-glass bridge. The tram terminus at Piazzale Roma is connected to the train station at Ferrovia. This is my favourite route because it adds a modern touch to the city while still blending in with the overall aesthetic.
Although it may not be the shortest route to Piazza San Marco, it is my preferred evening route, which some may refer to as Venice’s shopping street. This street is really popular and well-lit at night, which makes it safer, but it might not be as authentic. It runs parallel to the Canal Grande on the left bank.
The ‘Million and One’ photo theme captures my hurried approach to photography. Rather than taking my time and admiring my subjects, I snap photos quickly. Despite this, even a hurried walk yields more than I’ve experienced in the last three years.
Each house I photograph has its own unique charm, and I could spend hours describing why I love each one and how each person’s style influences the feel of the space. I can’t help but feel like a three-year-old Zsombor who has been dropped off at his favourite playground, but I can’t help but grin.
Even though there is some renovation going on in St Mark’s Square, I decide to walk around the square anyway, under the arcades. Unfortunately, I soon realize that my rainproof jacket is not actually rainproof. I decided to go inside Bra’s Bar, located behind St Mark’s
Cathedral, for warmth and nostalgia. The bar is famous for two things: the ladies leave their autographed bras on the drying line that rolls across the ceiling instead of tipping, and the Japanese bartender who mixes ingenious cocktails. However, I noticed that the cocktails are now more expensive than they were in 2019, costing fourteen and a half euros instead of nine and a half euros. The combination of experience, atmosphere, quality service, and drinks results in excellent value for money.
While the bartender prepares my drink, I go to the toilet to change. Only my socks and underwear remain dry. Fortunately, I wrapped everything in foil, so even though my bag is wet inside, all my valuables are still dry. Additionally, I am bringing another jacket with me from Hungary.
After leaving the building, the heavy downpour had eased to a light rain. Although I was surprised by the high price of the nine-and-a-half-euro ticket, I must admit that it is a reasonable fee for public transportation.

Je ne vais pas directement vers la Piazza San Marco, mais je prends mon itin\u00e9raire nocturne pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9, que l’on pourrait appeler la rue commer\u00e7ante de Venise. Et comme il y a de la demande, cette rue est \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s bien \u00e9clair\u00e9e la nuit. Donc, cela peut ne pas avoir une atmosph\u00e8re aussi authentique, mais c’est plus s\u00fbr et plus spectaculaire. Vous pourriez imaginer cet itin\u00e9raire comme si je marchais parall\u00e8lement au Grand Canal du c\u00f4t\u00e9 gauche.
Un million de sujets de photos. Je prends tout en h\u00e2te, je ne m’arr\u00eate pas, je ne me d\u00e9lecte pas \u00e0 l’infini, comme d’habitude. Le principe est que m\u00eame cette marche pr\u00e9cipit\u00e9e est plus que ce qui m’a \u00e9t\u00e9 donn\u00e9 au cours des trois derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es.
Je pourrais raconter des heures, dans quelle maison je suis amoureux et expliquer pourquoi c’est une sensation diff\u00e9rente lorsque chaque personne a son propre style. Je pourrais louer le ciel, l’eau, la terre (oh non, \u00e0 Venise, il n’y a pas de terre, seulement des pieux enfonc\u00e9s), mais cette fois, disons simplement que je me sens comme Zsombor, un enfant de trois ans qu’ils ont mis dans son aire de jeux pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9e.
Je souris. Encore une fois. Sur la Piazza San Marco, il y a des travaux de r\u00e9novation en cours, ce n’est pas grave, je fais le tour de la place, mais sous les arcades. Car je dois comprendre que mon grand manteau n’est pas imperm\u00e9able. Je d\u00e9cide donc d’entrer pour me r\u00e9chauffer et revivre les souvenirs dans mon bar pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9.
Le Bar Bra derri\u00e8re la cath\u00e9drale Saint-Marc est c\u00e9l\u00e8bre pour deux choses. Les dames laissent leur soutien-gorge autographi\u00e9 au lieu d’un pourboire, accroch\u00e9 \u00e0 une corde \u00e0 linge au plafond. L’autre c\u00e9l\u00e9brit\u00e9 est le gars japonais derri\u00e8re le bar qui pr\u00e9pare des cocktails g\u00e9niaux. L’ann\u00e9e 2019 a \u00e9t\u00e9 jug\u00e9e ch\u00e8re avec neuf euros et demi pour un cocktail, aujourd’hui j’ai pay\u00e9 quatorze euros et demi. Exp\u00e9rience + ambiance + service et boissons de qualit\u00e9 = excellente valeur pour l’argent.
Pendant que le gars pr\u00e9pare ma boisson, je me glisse aux toilettes pour me changer. Seules mes chaussettes et ma culotte sont rest\u00e9es s\u00e8ches. Cependant, cette \u00e9trange habitude de tout emballer dans du film plastique a maintenant port\u00e9 ses fruits, car bien que l’int\u00e9rieur de mon sac soit mouill\u00e9, tous mes objets de valeur sont rest\u00e9s secs. L’autre chance est que j’apporte un autre manteau de Hongrie. Quand je sors du b\u00e2timent, l’orage d’avant est devenu une pluie normale.
Je retourne en vaporetto, le bateau-bus, jusqu’au parking. Pourtant, la ligne de neuf euros et demi me surprend. Il y a quatre ans, c’\u00e9tait sept euros et demi. C’est quand m\u00eame un prix \u00e9lev\u00e9 pour un moyen de transport en commun. Bon d’accord, c’est peut-\u00eatre la ligne locale la plus spectaculaire sur laquelle j’ai jamais voyag\u00e9. Le syst\u00e8me reste assez italien. L’horaire est plus une suggestion.
La station que j’avais choisie, le chauffeur et le contr\u00f4leur (c’est-\u00e0-dire le capitaine et le marin) d\u00e9cident que cela n’existe pas aujourd’hui ; ils ne ralentissent m\u00eame pas. Sur un bateau, je ne peux pas non plus me plaindre de sortir ici sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la route. J’ai gagn\u00e9 une promenade de quinze minutes.
