(Provence, in southeastern France.)<br>As a kid, she and her family sailed one of the local rivers.<br>These days, with her artist partner, they walked those banks and remembered.<br>The images are simply \u201cjust\u201d beautiful, but in this city, where there are many good pictures, it\u2019s hard to stand out; they did.<br>The semi-translucent pictures in wooden frames aren\u2019t documents but moods.<br>They played with material color depth and color filters.<br>So they didn\u2019t render a specific stretch of river but an emblematic landscape.<br>Looking at the pictures, I felt as if I were there again.<br>In fact, these are picture-in-picture scenes: in the middle of the translucent landscape, set in window-like wooden frames, there was a photo from the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Praise of Anonymous Photos<br>An art dealer, combing flea markets, kept what he liked from private photos coming from estates.<br>Over the years, he gathered thousands of photos taken by ordinary people of ordinary people.<br>A great idea!<br>Especially in this country, where flea markets and the cultivation of tradition still have a cult following.<br>I had never seen a glass-plate picture from the 1800s.<br>I liked the more intimate photos just as much as the portrait wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saint-Trophime (former) monastery, 2025-09-23, Tuesday.<br>Les Rencontres de la Photographie \u2013 photo festival<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Souvenirs translucides en fin de festival<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Derni\u00e8re \u00e9tape, derni\u00e8res impressions : c\u2019est ce qui reste d\u2019une semaine de photos.<br>M\u00eame apr\u00e8s vingt-huit expositions, on peut encore surprendre \u2014 aujourd\u2019hui, deux m\u2019ont happ\u00e9.<br>Des souvenirs en couches sur plexiglas et des bo\u00eetes de photos d\u2019inconnus referment la semaine avec \u00e9l\u00e9gance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C\u2019est ma derni\u00e8re \u00e9tape \u00e0 ce festival photo.<br>J\u2019ai visit\u00e9 peut-\u00eatre vingt-huit mus\u00e9es, galeries et autres lieux \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8res.<br>Ici, il y avait de tout, venu de partout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rapha\u00eblle Peria et Fanny Robin<br>Ces photos semi-translucides sur des plaques de plexiglas sont r\u00e9ussies.<br>La fille est originaire du sud-ouest de la France.
