It sounds like you had a really productive day! It’s a shame that many of the birds have migrated south for the winter, but I’m sure you still saw some amazing sights!   Today, you were focusing on the birdlife, which is always fascinating. I love the Camargue delta, it’s such a beautiful area with so much to see and do. More specifically, he has not yet flown back. The experience was still great as you get to see flamingos up close for the first time. They have really good heads, which can be difficult to see as they often tuck them under their wings due to the wind. Additionally, they are able to fold their necks like a vacuum cleaner’s hose. They have a pink body with a mud-coloured head and use their spoon-shaped beaks to burrow in the mud while their heads are submerged in water. When they lift their heads to breathe, it’s quite a sight! In flight, their wings appear to be disproportionately large compared to their bodies, with red wings and a black stripe. These birds are so amusing! They are truly funny birds. It would be great to come back to this location or maybe check out another bird reserve in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C’\u00e9tait une journ\u00e9e tr\u00e8s r\u00e9ussie ! Au sud d’Arles commence le delta de Camargue. C’est un monde mar\u00e9cageux c\u00e9l\u00e8bre pour la r\u00e9colte de sel, le riz, les chevaux et les oiseaux. Ce jour-l\u00e0, j’ai choisi de me concentrer sur ces derniers. Je pensais voir une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d’esp\u00e8ces d’oiseaux, mais j’ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 que la fin de l’hiver \u00e9tait l\u00e0 et que tout le monde avait migr\u00e9 vers le sud. Ou peut-\u00eatre qu’ils n’\u00e9taient tout simplement pas encore revenus. Malgr\u00e9 cela, ce fut une exp\u00e9rience formidable. Je n’avais jamais vu des flamants roses d’aussi pr\u00e8s. Ils sont vraiment int\u00e9ressants. Surtout quand on peut voir leur t\u00eate, car \u00e0 cause du vent, ils la cachent sous leurs ailes. Ils peuvent plier leur cou comme un aspirateur. Dans une autre position, leur t\u00eate est sous l’eau et ils picorent dans la boue avec leur dr\u00f4le de bec en forme de cuill\u00e8re. C’est tr\u00e8s amusant quand ils sortent leur t\u00eate pour respirer ; un oiseau rose avec une t\u00eate marron boue. Ils semblent \u00e9normes par rapport \u00e0 leur corps en vol. Leur aile vue de dessous est rouge avec une bande noire. Des oiseaux vraiment amusants. Je reviendrai s\u00fbrement ici, ou peut-\u00eatre la prochaine fois, j’observerai ces oiseaux dans une autre r\u00e9serve naturelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
