It&rsquo;s pretty close to Marseille. The Calanques National Park starts at the eastern border of Marseille. The other side of the park borders Cassis. What&rsquo;s so special about Calanques National Park? It&rsquo;s the limestone cliff walls. I know, it&rsquo;s a bit of a mouthful. Let&rsquo;s imagine the colours! Think romantic movies. It&rsquo;s a protected area, so the blue sea is left undisturbed. The limestone walls that drop into the water are a beautiful green, and there are pine trees on them. You can see these reflections along the coast, and the sun draws a silver bridge over the open water. I&rsquo;ll give you a not-so-professional analogy: the whole floor plan is like that of the Norwegian fjords. Okay, this is a bit of an imprecise comparison, but you can easily picture the many bays surrounded by mountains, and valleys between the mountains (what a surprise, ha ha). Sometimes these valleys run into the sea. Don&rsquo;t picture a valley in a straight line. The horizontal is just a mirage anyway. And they also meander between the mountains.&nbsp; The centre of Cassis was built into a larger valley. The bay in front of it got a protective barrier, so it became a nice harbour. On the left are big vineyards, on the right are the Calangues limestone mountains. The city centre is centred around the harbour, and as usual, the breeze brings a romantic Proven\u00e7al atmosphere: cobblestones, narrow streets, houses built of local stones, elongated French balconies with colourfully painted slats. The distances aren&rsquo;t too far apart, but the walk is tiring because of the continuous uphills. There are two local buses in the city, though, so it&rsquo;s easy to get around. The restaurants aren&rsquo;t the cheapest, but you can eat well. The large beach next to the harbour is currently being updated with freshly brought small pebbles, which is great for families. The town itself is lovely \u2013 it\u2019s like most small towns in Provence. I think the special thing about Cassis are the hiking routes around the city. The local tourist office gives you a map, and you can download an app on their website, which \u2013 thanks to its offline mode \u2013 was much easier to use and more precise than the phone\u2019s factory apps. There are some family-friendly routes, with a length of only one and a half kilometres and a difference in level of thirty metres, which is considered weak; but there is also a track with a difference in level of three hundred metres on the mountain facing the city of Ciotat. Even the scooter got a bit tired halfway, but the view made it worth it. Each route ends in a more intimate bay with beaches, which is why it is worth setting aside a day for each tour. At the start of the third tour, I thought I&rsquo;d seen everything. I was right, because I&rsquo;d already explored the Calanques coves and mountains on the eastern border of Marseille many times last year. It was like going to Notre Dame. \u00ab\u00a0What new can a century-old Gothic church show me?\u00a0\u00bb I thought. After a few hours, I was amazed at how something so perfect could be created. This might not even have been built by human hands! In our case, this is exactly true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/laszlo8360.files.wordpress.com\/2024\/04\/20240416_195317.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6296\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O\u00f9 se trouve Cassis ? Presque \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de Marseille. Le parc national des Calanques commence \u00e0 la p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie est de Marseille. L&rsquo;autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 du parc borde Cassis. Pourquoi le parc national des Calanques est-il c\u00e9l\u00e8bre ? Ses falaises de calcaire. Je sais, c&rsquo;est une fa\u00e7on rapide de le dire. Mais imaginez les couleurs ! Celles que l&rsquo;on voit dans les films romantiques. C&rsquo;est une zone prot\u00e9g\u00e9e, donc la mer bleue n&rsquo;est pas agit\u00e9e, les parois calcaires scintillent dans l&rsquo;eau, des pins verts y sont accroch\u00e9s. Le long du rivage, ils se refl\u00e8tent, le soleil jette un pont d&rsquo;argent sur l&rsquo;eau libre. Je vais maintenant utiliser une analogie non professionnelle : l&rsquo;ensemble du site ressemble aux fjords norv\u00e9giens. D&rsquo;accord, c&rsquo;est une analogie inexacte, mais elle vous donne une id\u00e9e des nombreuses baies entour\u00e9es de montagnes, avec des vall\u00e9es entre les montagnes (comme c&rsquo;est dr\u00f4le \ud83d\ude42 ). Parfois, ces vall\u00e9es se jettent dans la mer. N&rsquo;imaginez pas une vall\u00e9e en ligne droite. L&rsquo;horizontale est de toute fa\u00e7on un mirage. Elles serpentent aussi entre les montagnes. Le centre de Cassis est \u00e9galement construit dans une vall\u00e9e plus large. La baie qui lui fait face a \u00e9t\u00e9 dot\u00e9e d&rsquo;une digue de protection, ce qui en fait un port agr\u00e9able. \u00c0 gauche se trouvent d&rsquo;immenses vignobles, \u00e0 droite les montagnes calcaires de Calangues. Le centre-ville s&rsquo;articule autour du port et, comme d&rsquo;habitude, la brise apporte une atmosph\u00e8re proven\u00e7ale romantique : rues pav\u00e9es, ruelles \u00e9troites, maisons construites en pierre locale, balcons allong\u00e9s \u00e0 la fran\u00e7aise avec des treillis peints de couleurs vives. En soi, les distances ne sont pas tr\u00e8s grandes. Par exemple, mon logement se trouvait au bord de la route principale qui traverse la ville, relativement loin, \u00e0 un kilom\u00e8tre et demi de la c\u00f4te. En revanche, les mont\u00e9es constantes rendent la marche fatigante. Il y a cependant deux trains locaux en ville. D&rsquo;ailleurs, les points p\u00e9riph\u00e9riques du centre-ville lui-m\u00eame sont \u00e0 dix minutes de marche les uns des autres. Les restaurants ne sont pas les moins chers, mais on y mange bien. La grande plage pr\u00e8s du port est en train d&rsquo;\u00eatre rafra\u00eechie avec des galets fra\u00eechement apport\u00e9s, c&rsquo;est une plage familiale. La ville elle-m\u00eame est charmante, comme la plupart des petites villes de province. Je pense que la particularit\u00e9 de Cassis r\u00e9side dans les sentiers de randonn\u00e9e qui l&rsquo;entourent. Des cartes sont disponibles \u00e0 l&rsquo;office du tourisme local, et vous pouvez t\u00e9l\u00e9charger une application sur leur site web, qui &#8211; gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son mode hors ligne &#8211; \u00e9tait beaucoup plus utilisable et pr\u00e9cise que les applications d&rsquo;usine sur votre t\u00e9l\u00e9phone. Il y a des sentiers tr\u00e8s familiaux, d&rsquo;une longueur d&rsquo;un kilom\u00e8tre et demi seulement, avec un l\u00e9ger d\u00e9nivel\u00e9 de trente m\u00e8tres, mais il y a aussi un sentier sur la colline qui surplombe la ville de Ciotat, avec un d\u00e9nivel\u00e9 de trois cents m\u00e8tres. M\u00eame le scooter a gel\u00e9 \u00e0 mi-chemin, mais le panorama en valait la peine. Chacun de ces sentiers se termine par une crique de plage plus intime, ce qui vaut la peine de prendre une journ\u00e9e pour l&rsquo;un d&rsquo;entre eux &#8211; une journ\u00e9e de randonn\u00e9e. Au d\u00e9but du troisi\u00e8me circuit &#8211; les Calanques &#8211; je pensais ne rien voir de nouveau. J&rsquo;avais raison, pour \u00eatre tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cis, car j&rsquo;avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu les baies et les collines des Calanques \u00e0 de nombreuses reprises l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, dans la banlieue est de Marseille. Un peu comme lorsque j&rsquo;ai visit\u00e9 Notre Dame. \u00ab\u00a0Qu&rsquo;est-ce qu&rsquo;une centi\u00e8me \u00e9glise gothique peut m&rsquo;apporter de nouveau ?\u00a0\u00bb Quelques heures plus tard, je me demande comment on peut cr\u00e9er quelque chose d&rsquo;aussi parfait ! Peut-\u00eatre que ce n&rsquo;est pas la main de l&rsquo;homme qui l&rsquo;a construit ! Dans notre cas, il se trouve que c&rsquo;est vrai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/laszlo8360.files.wordpress.com\/2024\/04\/bereal-2024-04-16-0301.jpeg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6297\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hol van Cassis? Majdnem Marseille mellett. Marseille keleti hat\u00e1r\u00e1ban kezd\u0151dik a Calanques nemzeti park. A park m\u00e1sik oldala Cassissal hat\u00e1ros. Mir\u0151l nevezetes a Calanques Nemzeti Park? A m\u00e9szk\u0151 szikla falair\u00f3l. Tudom, egy mondatban ez \u00edgy snassz. K\u00e9pzelj\u00fcnk hozz\u00e1 sz\u00edneket! Olyan \u00e1rnyalatokkal, amik a romantikus filmekben vannak. V\u00e9dett ter\u00fclet, ez\u00e9rt a k\u00e9k tenger nincs felkeverve, A v\u00edzbe oml\u00f3 m\u00e9szk\u0151 falak ragyognak, rajtuk z\u00f6ld fenyvesek. A part ment\u00e9n ezek visszat\u00fckr\u00f6\u00adz\u0151dnek, a ny\u00edlt vizen ez\u00fcst hidat h\u00faz a nap.
