Where balconies without long terraces are covered by plane trees.<br \/>-&gt; For the Provencal landscape. Lavender is planted everywhere visible for tourists. And along the road, dill blooms. The flower gardens smell of rosemary, and thyme basks at the base of fruit trees.<br \/>-&gt; Pleasant, pedestrian-scale downtown. With the narrow streets and small squares that are so typical around here. All beautifully maintained.<br \/>-&gt; You can also find the usual Roman-era relics here. There is a larger archaeological park on the outskirts of the city.<br \/>-&gt; A secret little pond in the mountains. Which is actually a reservoir up high. There is a small cave nearby. Park your car at the highest point of the road leading to Les Baux. From there, it&rsquo;s a twenty-minute walk to the pond, and you can walk around it in another half an hour. A beautiful afternoon picnic program.<br \/>-&gt; Oh, and what you might not even notice is that the fresh forest air smells like Provencal herb blend perfume.<br \/><strong>Why is the valley of Les Baux called the white valley? <\/strong><br \/>Well, because the white limestone glows. Olive groves spread across the gentle slopes, surrounded by coniferous forests. From above, it looks as if we were laying down a bright green sheet, drawing olive green spots on it, and then sprinkling it all with white dots. You can&rsquo;t get enough of it.<br \/>In Les Baux de Provence, it&rsquo;s really great for wearing out a child. Also because nothing is horizontal. Lots of peaks, hiking trails, and a castle with a separate staircase to every building. You can imagine it as if we put the Visegr\u00e1d Castle Hill over the downtown of Szentendre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/laszlo8360.files.wordpress.com\/2023\/10\/20231027_154313.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4218\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pourquoi aller \u00e0 Saint-R\u00e9my ?<\/strong><br \/>-&gt; L&rsquo;architecture fran\u00e7aise. O\u00f9 les longs balcons sans terrasses sont couverts de platanes.<br \/>-&gt; Pour les paysages de Provance. Pour les touristes, la lavande est plant\u00e9e \u00e0 chaque endroit visible. Et l&rsquo;aneth fleurit le long des routes. Les jardins fleuris sentent le romarin, et le thym fleurit au pied des arbres fruitiers.<br \/>-&gt; Un centre-ville agr\u00e9able \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle du pi\u00e9ton. Avec les rues \u00e9troites et les petites places qui nous sont si famili\u00e8res. Le tout, magnifiquement entretenu.<br \/>-&gt; Les vestiges romains habituels sont \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sents. Un grand parc arch\u00e9ologique se trouve \u00e0 la p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie de la ville.<br \/>-&gt; Un lac secret dans les collines. Il s&rsquo;agit en fait d&rsquo;un r\u00e9servoir situ\u00e9 en hauteur. Il y a une petite grotte \u00e0 proximit\u00e9. Il y a un parking au point le plus haut sur la route principale des Baux, garez-y votre voiture. De l\u00e0, il y a vingt minutes de marche jusqu&rsquo;au lac, et encore une demi-heure pour en faire le tour. Un magnifique pique-nique pour l&rsquo;apr\u00e8s-midi.<br \/>-&gt; Oh, et ce que vous ne remarquerez m\u00eame pas, c&rsquo;est que l&rsquo;air frais de la for\u00eat est parfum\u00e9 d&rsquo;un m\u00e9lange d&rsquo;herbes de Provence.<br \/><strong>Pourquoi la vall\u00e9e des Baux est-elle appel\u00e9e la vall\u00e9e blanche ? <\/strong><br \/>Parce que le calcaire blanc brille. Les oliveraies en pente douce sont entrecoup\u00e9es de for\u00eats de conif\u00e8res. Vu d&rsquo;en haut, c&rsquo;est comme si on prenait une feuille vert vif, qu&rsquo;on y dessinait des taches vert olive et qu&rsquo;on remplissait le tout de points blancs. On ne peut pas s&rsquo;en passer.<br \/>Les Baux de Provence sont un endroit id\u00e9al pour fatiguer un enfant. Ne serait-ce que parce que rien n&rsquo;est horizontal. Beaucoup de collines, de chemins de randonn\u00e9e, un ch\u00e2teau avec un escalier menant \u00e0 chaque b\u00e2timent.
