Sometimes the best news is no news at all \u2014 today was exactly that. I\u2019m also learning to stay out of sight so my work doesn\u2019t get constantly redefined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maussane, 2025.08.18., Monday<br>#garden #shrubs #sleep #bike #Maussane #IPA #newpost<br>With the few keywords above, I\u2019ve already said everything important about Monday.<br>For this day it\u2019s really true that if there\u2019s no bad news, that\u2019s good news, because the day went by pleasantly.<br>I slept through the afternoon for almost three hours; I needed it, since I spent the previous two nights partying.<br>On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday I worked in the garden.<br>No one hassled me.<br>That also required me to try not to be in plain sight.<br>I\u2019ve noticed many times that if Zahia (who is also the boss of the maids) sees me, she remembers something insignificant but, in her view, urgent.<br>And I see the same with the other bosses: if they notice me, then \u2014 sometimes with the best intentions \u2014 they try to redefine my work along new lines, which ends up making the same process take more time overall.<br>(Like last week, when they decided that plant waste shouldn\u2019t go in the back next to the bush but into plastic bags; okay, but the truck that takes it only picks up loose organic matter, so now I bag it, and later I have to pour it back out of the bags!)<br>It\u2019s roughly a twelve-hectare estate; I can always find tasks \u2014 ones that also keep me out of sight.<br>For example, I head into the shrubs that haven\u2019t been weeded for years.<br>Cycling?<br>Yeah, to the neighboring village, where I sat on a bench, wrote and read until ten in the evening, finishing by flashlight.<br>In Maussane I bought two glasses of IPA.<br>I\u2019m increasingly fond of that mildly bitter taste.<br>They\u2019re shuffling the schedule again.<br>What bothers me is that they don\u2019t communicate about it.<br>I just see the automatic email.<br>I simply don\u2019t want to wind myself up over this anymore.<br>But from here I\u2019d like to send a message to the responsible folks: you can all just\u2026 go there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lundi tranquille \u00e0 Maussane<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un lundi tranquille rythm\u00e9 par le jardin, un tour \u00e0 v\u00e9lo et une IPA. Parfois, la meilleure nouvelle, c\u2019est qu\u2019il n\u2019y en a pas \u2014 aujourd\u2019hui, c\u2019\u00e9tait exactement \u00e7a. J\u2019apprends aussi \u00e0 rester discret pour qu\u2019on ne r\u00e9\u00e9crive pas mon travail \u00e0 chaque instant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maussane, 2025.08.18., lundi<br>#jardin #arbustes #sommeil #v\u00e9lo #Maussane #IPA #nouveaubillet<br>Avec ces quelques mots-cl\u00e9s ci-dessus, j\u2019ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 tout dit d\u2019important sur ce lundi.<br>Pour cette journ\u00e9e, c\u2019est vraiment vrai que pas de mauvaises nouvelles = bonne nouvelle, car elle s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e agr\u00e9ablement.<br>L\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi, je me suis endormi pendant presque trois heures ; \u00e7a m\u2019a fait du bien, puisque les deux nuits pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pass\u00e9es \u00e0 faire la f\u00eate.<br>Samedi, dimanche et lundi, j\u2019ai travaill\u00e9 au jardin.<br>Personne ne m\u2019a emb\u00eat\u00e9.<br>Cela a demand\u00e9 aussi que j\u2019essaie de ne pas \u00eatre trop visible.<br>Je l\u2019ai souvent constat\u00e9 : si Zahia (qui est aussi la cheffe des femmes de chambre) me voit, il lui vient \u00e0 l\u2019esprit une t\u00e2che insignifiante mais, selon elle, urgente.<br>Et je le vois aussi chez les autres chefs : s\u2019ils me remarquent, alors \u2014 parfois avec les meilleures intentions \u2014 ils essaient de red\u00e9finir mon travail selon de nouveaux crit\u00e8res, ce qui finit par rendre le m\u00eame processus plus long au total.<br>(Comme la semaine derni\u00e8re, quand ils ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 que les d\u00e9chets v\u00e9g\u00e9taux ne devaient pas aller derri\u00e8re, pr\u00e8s du buisson, mais dans des sacs en plastique ; d\u2019accord, mais le camion qui les emporte ne prend que la mati\u00e8re organique en vrac, donc maintenant je les mets en sacs, puis plus tard je dois les vider des sacs !)<br>C\u2019est un domaine d\u2019environ douze hectares ; je trouve toujours des t\u00e2ches \u2014 y compris celles qui me gardent hors de vue.<br>Par exemple, je vais dans les bosquets qui n\u2019ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9sherb\u00e9s depuis des ann\u00e9es.<br>V\u00e9lo ?<br>Oui, jusqu\u2019au village voisin, o\u00f9 je me suis assis sur un banc ; j\u2019ai \u00e9crit et lu jusqu\u2019\u00e0 dix heures du soir, en terminant \u00e0 la lampe de poche.<br>\u00c0 Maussane, j\u2019ai pris deux verres d\u2019IPA.<br>J\u2019aime de plus en plus leur l\u00e9g\u00e8re amertume.<br>Ils rebricolent encore le planning.<br>Ce qui m\u2019agace, c\u2019est qu\u2019ils ne communiquent pas l\u00e0-dessus.<br>Je ne vois que l\u2019e-mail automatique.<br>Je n\u2019ai tout simplement plus envie de me prendre la t\u00eate avec \u00e7a.<br>Mais d\u2019ici, j\u2019adresse un message aux responsables : vous pouvez tous\u2026 y aller !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Csendes h\u00e9tf\u0151 a kert, a bringa \u00e9s egy IPA jegy\u00e9ben.
