What\u2019s new: this is the second month the management is playing tricks with the payout \u2014 if I accept the money, the receipt also states that ten percent will be paid later; if I don\u2019t sign the receipt, obviously they can\u2019t pay anything at all.<br>What was the May reply when I asked outside advisors for suggestions regarding my employment contract?<br>\u201cThe Benvengudo hotel\u2019s legal practice is lawful in every respect, but morally objectionable.\u201d<br>Wednesday. The other exhibition is the queue-themed one; maybe at the weekend.<br>The advantage of restaurant groups is that they often have a custom menu. Our pastry chef makes the Norwegian omelet with peanuts and almond pastry, and there was some left for staff too. For this alone, they should cast the imprint of his hand in gold.<br>Plan: at the weekend it would be nice to go down to the sea, and there\u2019ll be village festivities in the neighboring village, Paradou.<br>Thursday. The day I lost (in three years) my eighth bike lock. The French considered it perfectly fine to haul lobsters out of the water near the Brazilian coast, in disturbingly large quantities. The Brazilians, for their part, sent their fighter planes. There were even exchanges between the two countries in which the Gauls said the lobster isn\u2019t even a fish, since it doesn\u2019t swim; it hops along the sea floor. The Brazilian official replied that by that logic the kangaroo is a bird, because it doesn\u2019t walk on the ground \u2014 it hops.<br>Despite being a famous photography school (the building is as big as a high school), the pictures themselves weren\u2019t interesting. But the story they presented was interesting, important, instructive. Soir\u00e9e agr\u00e9able.<br>\u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure de Photographie : La guerre de la langouste.<br>Autrement dit, La Guerre du homard.<br>On ne peut m\u00eame pas dire que je raconte \u00e7a de m\u00e9moire : je n\u2019ai pas v\u00e9cu les ann\u00e9es soixante.<br>\u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9poque, les Fran\u00e7ais ont eu un s\u00e9rieux diff\u00e9rend avec les Br\u00e9siliens. Les Fran\u00e7ais trouvaient tout \u00e0 fait normal de sortir des homards de l\u2019eau pr\u00e8s des c\u00f4tes br\u00e9siliennes, en quantit\u00e9s g\u00eanantes. Les Br\u00e9siliens, eux, ont envoy\u00e9 leurs avions de chasse. Il y a m\u00eame eu des \u00e9changes o\u00f9 les Gaulois disaient que le homard n\u2019est pas un poisson, puisqu\u2019il ne nage pas ; il saute sur le fond de la mer. Et le responsable br\u00e9silien a r\u00e9pondu que, dans ce cas-l\u00e0, le kangourou est un oiseau, puisqu\u2019il ne marche pas sur le sol \u2014 il saute.<br>Bien que ce soit une \u00e9cole de photo c\u00e9l\u00e8bre (le b\u00e2timent est grand comme un lyc\u00e9e), les images en elles-m\u00eames n\u2019\u00e9taient pas int\u00e9ressantes. Mais l\u2019histoire pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e \u00e9tait int\u00e9ressante, importante, instructive.
