Rest day off

Arles, 2024. 14 May. Tuesday
Since I managed to edit my blog page until dawn on Monday, Tuesday morning started at eleven o’clock. While out shopping this afternoon, I ran into Tiffany, who was stocking up on drinks for a house party. Or the chef’s kid, who was totally happy because he could call his abandoned phone from mine. I sat down in the early evening with a glass of wine and caught up on blog posts. (It didn’t feel good, my stomach burned afterwards.) Now I just have to solve the issue of the storage space being full, because I can’t upload anything to the cloud. Réka said she’d help me with this, but it will still cost me a one-off fifty euro and another subscription for an extra fifty euro. Even though I don’t have an apartment, I already spend nearly two hundred euros on utilities. It’s pouring rain, by the way, and it’s like living in Amsterdam, the last time I had to have both shorts and a raincoat handy. I fall asleep quite early while watching a film, wake up at 3.30 in the morning, my clothes still on. I can’t go back to sleep, I can’t. I still stick to the original plan: get up at 6am, spend Wednesday on the beach at Saint Marie and read. Was there anything good about the day? Otherwise, it was not a bad day. I was happy to see the colleague woman while shopping. Was there anything to learn from the day? With a little more conscious planning, I can get even more out of a day off. And I need to do something about my sleep problems.
One year of the diary!
