Itt még nem járt Jézuska.
Ez alapvetően egy mohamedán ország, itt normál munkahét volt.
Az itteni kopt keresztények majd januárban tartanak karácsonyt – itt akkor lesz munkaszüneti nap.
Szerda este és csütörtök délután lementem egy-egy olyan étterembe, ami a németek törzshelye.
Miért oda?
Mert ott volt közép-európai karácsonyi menüsor.
Szerda este volt ének és tánc (német nyelven), szóval jól telt.
Csütörtökön forralt bort csináltak, itt már nem volt élőzene, csak háttérzene, de az is jó volt.
És a társaság is vegyes volt:
egyszerre beszélgettünk három nyelven.
17:00 – Vajon csak nekem vicces?
Ez a francia könyv. Címe: A hazám és az otthonom.
Én végigröhögöm.
Így, hogy már kezdem érteni mindkét kultúrát,
nekem kifejezetten szórakoztató.

Néha nézegetem az error fare-es weboldalakat (pl. flynous, fly4free, secretflying),
de sosem találok olyan dealt, ami megfelelne nekem.

23:45 – In a Muslim country
Santa hasn’t been here yet.
This is basically a Muslim country, and here it was a normal working week.
The local Coptic Christians celebrate Christmas in January — that is when there will be a public holiday here.
On Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon, I went to a restaurant that is a regular hangout for Germans.
Why there?
Because they had a Central European Christmas menu.
On Wednesday evening there was singing and dancing (in German), so it was quite nice.
On Thursday they made mulled wine; there was no live music anymore, just background music, but that was fine too.
And by today the company had become mixed:
we were talking in three languages at the same time.
17:00 – I wonder, is it funny only to me?
This French book.
Its title: My Homeland and My Home.
I laugh all the way through it.
Now that I am starting to understand both cultures,
I find it genuinely entertaining.

23 h 45 – Dans un pays musulman
Le Père Noël n’est pas encore passé ici.
C’est fondamentalement un pays musulman, et ici, c’était une semaine de travail normale.
Les chrétiens coptes locaux fêtent Noël en janvier — c’est à ce moment-là qu’il y aura un jour férié.
Mercredi soir et jeudi après-midi, je suis allée dans un restaurant qui est le repaire habituel des Allemands.
Pourquoi là-bas ?
Parce qu’il y avait un menu de Noël d’Europe centrale.
Mercredi soir, il y avait du chant et de la danse (en allemand), donc c’était plutôt sympa.
Jeudi, ils ont préparé du vin chaud ; il n’y avait plus de musique live, seulement une musique de fond, mais c’était bien aussi.
Et aujourd’hui, le groupe était déjà plus mélangé :
nous discutions en trois langues en même temps.
17 h 00 – Je me demande, est-ce que c’est drôle seulement pour moi ?
Ce livre français.
Son titre : Ma patrie et mon foyer.
Je ris du début à la fin.
Maintenant que je commence à comprendre les deux cultures,
je trouve cela vraiment divertissant.
