Standing Strong in Crosswinds

In life, it’s often not swimming against the current that’s the hardest, but when pressure hits you from an unexpected direction, from the side. It’s harder to stand firm in these moments because you can’t always prepare. Side attacks often catch you off guard and sweep you away. This post explores how to face such challenges and how to find strength in difficult situations.

We think swimming against the current is tough; but it’s just slow. You can prepare for it: you move a little slower, but the crowd avoids you. The real challenge is standing firm in a crosswind, which is harder to prepare for. The masses coming from the side are never fair, they always sweep you away.

It’s easy to be loved if I undervalue myself!

“I’ve gotten used to people talking behind my back.” (János Kiss, bus driver)

Does it seem like I’ve ever been attached to money? Maybe that’s not what matters.

Tell me, am I old? Has my body changed? Yes, I know, people’s bodies change, but so does the audience (and their thoughts). If not, here’s the good news: eyesight worsens with age.

The real question is: do you feel good in your own skin? If yes, then your question becomes irrelevant.

In which world does something count as breaking the norm?

When was the last time you felt like an adult? Have you ever felt it? How do you know if your thoughts are mature?

“Shame is a monster that dissolves in the light.”

What is still possible in this life? You could write this on the doorpost every day as guidance.

One dog can herd an entire flock of sheep. Yet, if the sheep moved together, they could trample the dog. Why is this? Why don’t the sheep move? Who benefits from allowing this?
