I want to find the shops still open in the morning, so I get up at six. It’s already nine o’clock shopping

I’m in the center. Shops open at ten. Until then, breakfast and coffee. I enjoy the way the cafe girl smiles back at me. The Fnac technical store is not suitable this time, there is no good selection of routers, I would rather make a pilgrimage to an Auchan. For lunch, 20 dekagrams of whipped cream and half a kilo of strawberries. I enjoy life. I can’t find what I wanted here either. The bathroom carpet and the coffee maker are expensive, and the range of routers is even smaller. I found an interesting offer on the Nespresso website. I want to drink coffee in the morning, not cook, so I’m looking for a comfortable solution. In the Nespresso store, the price of the coffee machine is twenty euros, in return I have to pay twenty euros into an advance account every month, which I can spend as and when I want. Now I’m walking to the hostel with two huge bags and it’s not even three o’clock in the afternoon. This hostel was not a good experience this time. The previous two times it was clean and the windows could be opened. Never mind, I don’t intend to spend time here anyway. With great difficulty I push the scooter into the corner. I’m going to the city, I need to buy another router. Then, at my local favorite underwear store, I hesitate for ten minutes whether to buy the pink one or the light green one. I’m always happy when they finally deviate somewhere from the black – blue – gray Holy Trinity.

Montpellier has a very beautiful cathedral, I thought I’d take another look at the whole old town itself. The town was built almost on the top of the hill, with a kind of street structure left over from the Middle Ages. Then the centuries were built around it. As we move further down, the downtown streets become wider and fuller. At eight in the evening, I ran into a street musician on the Place Komédia (main) square. A black-skinned, blind guy with good looks sang something fantastic on a karaoke background. He has a talent for acting. I hope to hear from the guy again. He had a good party, a relatively large crowd gathered. Vacsi in the usual place, behind the Monoprix. There is a street that doesn’t look very rich, where cafeterias of different nationalities are lined up next to each other, and among them are some cocktail bars, arcades, and cinemas. There is a Chinese-style place where they invented a very simple thing: alongside a portion of rice, they fry vegetables and meat in a wok in front of the guest’s nose. There are nine options on the menu, which is more than enough. You can always live well.

Je suis au centre. Les magasins ouvrent à dix heures. En attendant, petit-déjeuner et café. J’apprécie la façon dont la fille du café me sourit. Le magasin technique Fnac n’est pas adapté cette fois, il n’y a pas de bon choix de défonceuses, je préférerais faire un pèlerinage chez un Auchan. Pour le déjeuner, 20 décagrammes de chantilly et un demi-kilo de fraises. J’apprécie la vie. Je ne trouve pas non plus ce que je voulais ici. La moquette de la salle de bain et la cafetière sont chères et la gamme de routeurs est encore plus réduite. J’ai trouvé une offre intéressante sur le site Nespresso. Je veux boire du café le matin, pas cuisiner, je cherche donc une solution confortable. Dans le magasin Nespresso, le prix de la machine à café est de vingt euros, en contrepartie je dois verser chaque mois vingt euros sur un compte d’avance, que je peux dépenser comme et quand je veux. Maintenant, je marche jusqu’à l’auberge avec deux énormes sacs et il n’est même pas trois heures de l’après-midi. Cette auberge n’était pas une bonne expérience cette fois-ci. Les deux fois précédentes, c’était propre et les fenêtres pouvaient être ouvertes. Qu’à cela ne tienne, je n’ai pas l’intention de passer du temps ici de toute façon. Avec beaucoup de difficulté, je pousse le scooter dans le virage. Je vais en ville, je dois acheter un autre routeur. Puis, dans mon magasin de sous-vêtements préféré du coin, j’hésite dix minutes entre acheter le rose ou le vert clair. Je suis toujours heureux quand ils s’écartent enfin quelque part de la Sainte Trinité noir-bleu-gris.

Montpellier a une très belle cathédrale, j’ai pensé revoir toute la vieille ville elle-même. La ville a été construite presque au sommet de la colline, avec une sorte de structure de rues héritée du Moyen Âge. Puis les siècles se sont construits autour d’elle. À mesure que nous descendons, les rues du centre-ville deviennent plus larges et plus fréquentées. À huit heures du soir, j’ai croisé un musicien de rue sur la place Komédia (principale). Un type aveugle à la peau noire et de belle apparence a chanté quelque chose de fantastique sur fond de karaoké. Il a un talent pour le comédien. J’espère avoir de nouvelles nouvelles de ce gars. Il a fait une bonne fête, une foule relativement nombreuse s’est rassemblée. Vacsi à la place habituelle, derrière le Monoprix. Il y a une rue qui n’a pas l’air très riche, où s’alignent les cafétérias de différentes nationalités, parmi lesquelles se trouvent quelques bars à cocktails, arcades et cinémas. Il existe un endroit à la chinoise où ils ont inventé une chose très simple : à côté d’une portion de riz, ils font frire des légumes et de la viande dans un wok sous le nez du client. Il y a neuf options au menu, ce qui est largement suffisant. Vous pouvez toujours bien vivre.

Az Fnac műszaki üzlet ezúttal nem meg­felelő, nincs jó választék routerekből, inkább ki zarán­dokolok egy Auchanba. Ebédre 20 dekagram tejszín hab és fél kiló eper. Élvezem az életet. Amit akartam, itt sem találom meg. A fürdőszoba szőnyeg és a kávéfőző drága, routerből pedig még kisebb a válasz­ték. A Nespresso oldalán találtam egy érdekes ajánlatot. Reggel inni akarom a kávét, nem főzni, ezért kényelmes megoldást keresek. A Nespresso üzletben húsz euró a kávégép ára, cserébe minden hónapban be kell fizetnem húsz eurót egy előleg számlára, amit tetszés szerinti módon és időben elkölthetek. Most már két hatalmas táskával baktatok a hostelbe és még nincs délután három óra. Ezút­tal nem volt jó élmény ez a hostel. Az előző két alkalommal tiszta volt és nyithatóak az ablakok. Sebaj, úgysem szándékozom itt időt tölteni. Nagy nehezen beszuszakolom a rollert a sarokba. Megyek a városba, vennem kell még egy routert is. Aztán, a helyi kedvenc fehérnemű üzletben tíz percet vacilálok, hogy a rózsaszín vagy a világos zöld darabot vegyen -e meg. Mindig örülök, ha végre eltérnek valahol a fekete – kék – szürke Szentháromságtól.

Montpelliernek nagyon szép katedrálisa van, gondoltam megnézem még egyszer meg magát az egész ó­várost. Majdnem a hegytetőre épült város, amolyan középkorból megmaradt utca szerkezettel. Aztán köré építkeztek a századok. Ahogy haladunk lejjebb úgy szélesednek és teljesednek ki a belvárosi utcák. Este nyolckor a place komédia (fő) téren bele futottam egy utca zenészke. Egy fekete bőrű vak srác, jó megjelenéssel karaoke alapokra énekelt valami fan­tasztikusan. Van tehetsége a fellépéshez. Remélem még hallok a srácról. Jó bulit csinált, viszonylag nagy tömeg verődött össze. Vacsi a már szokásos helyen, a Monoprix háta mögött. Van egy nem túl gazdagnak tűnő utca, ahol egy más mellett sorakoznak a különböző nemzetiségek büféi és köztük néhány koktélbár, játékterem, mozi. Van egy kínai stílusú hely, ahol tök egyszerű dolgot találták ki: egy adag rizs mellé, egy wokban sütnek össze zöldségeket és húsokat a vendég orra előtt. Kilenc opció van az étlapon, ez bőven elég. Mindig jól lehet lakni.
