Life’s Crumbs: A Photographer’s Thoughts and Observations
Perhaps next week I will really change the day for shopping, and it’s time to consider some changes as well. Ildi is probably right, and the change applies to me too. In any case, it was good to get acquainted with the photo exhibition of Chapelle de la CharitĂ© today, and perhaps after the long dishwashing days, this mystical atmosphere helps to reflect on things.

It seems that the dishwashing days on Tuesday and Wednesday are the longest. Maybe next week I’ll go to the city on Sunday and Monday instead. On Tuesday, I’ll go to the store at most. Today I went in because of my finished bag. It was repaired for thirty-five euros, two pieces, two-euro zippers had to be fixed. I’m sure they overcharged for the service, maybe because they mainly repair shoes, or because they didn’t consider me a local. Even so, the math is more favorable if I buy a new one, that’s forty euros, at least the shamelessly collected thirty-five will stay here, locally.
Today I also saw a tiny photo exhibition.
Chapelle de la Charité.
The former altar was not moved out of this former church, nor the paintings, only the furniture was evicted, and a carpet was laid out. This, along with the huge monochrome photos lit from behind, created a truly mystical atmosphere. Another altar was built in front of the altar: a gigantic bookshelf with photos, photographic equipment.
While working, while I was fixing the kitchen faucet, I wondered how many people’s negligence was needed for the parts to rot? My colleagues, seeing that I was angry, asked who was at fault, perhaps the colleague I’m substituting for? How can I explain if the concept of regular maintenance doesn’t even come up?
Ildi had a sentence like this, that “the change is about me.” Has the change already spoken to me, that there has been no change here for years?
