Luma torony | Luma tower
We arrived in Avignon at half past six in the morning. Despite being alone since Barcelona, the journey was uncomfortable, and I slept very little. Trains were delayed at the Avignon station, causing me to miss the bus connection in Arles. I had four hours of free time. I didn’t want this because I was tired and sleepy.
To make good use of the time, I went to the museum. Admission to the exhibitions at Luma Arles is free. This building dominates the city’s skyline with its tower. It has nine floors, is covered in metal, and has a slightly abstract shape, situated at the corner of the associated park. I didn’t know what exhibitions were inside, and I still don’t understand the concept, but it’s a beautiful building. There are three photography exhibitions on the lower levels, two rooms showing video films. On the third floor, there is a library, and the upper two floors offer a panoramic terrace. In the middle of the tower, there is even a two-story slide. Overall, I enjoyed myself, and I will go back.
I slept through the afternoon. After dinner, I worked on saving the pictures from Barcelona and wrote blog posts about them until three in the morning.
Le matin à six heures et demie, nous sommes arrivés à Avignon. Partant seul depuis Barcelone, j’ai pourtant voyagé inconfortablement et peu dormi. Les trains sont en retard à la gare d’Avignon, ce qui m’a fait manquer la correspondance pour Arles. J’ai eu quatre heures de temps libre. Je ne le voulais pas car je suis fatigué et somnolent.
Afin que le temps ne soit pas inutile, je me rends au musée. L’entrée aux expositions de Luma Arles est gratuite. Cet édifice domine le panorama de la ville avec sa tour. Il a neuf étages, est recouvert de métal et a une forme légèrement abstraite, situé à l’angle du parc qui lui est associé. Je ne savais pas quelles expositions y étaient présentées, je ne comprends toujours pas la conception, mais c’est un bel édifice. Il y a trois expositions de photographies aux niveaux inférieurs, deux salles diffusent des films vidéo. Au troisième étage, il y a une bibliothèque, et les deux étages supérieurs offrent une terrasse panoramique. Au milieu de la tour, il y a même un toboggan de deux étages. Dans l’ensemble, je me suis bien amusé, je vais y retourner.
J’ai dormi l’après-midi. Après le dîner, j’ai travaillé sur les photos de Barcelone et écrit des articles de blog à leur sujet jusqu’à trois heures du matin.
Reggel fél hétkor érkeztünk be Avignonba. Barcelonától végi egyedül ültem, mégis kényelmetlenül utaztam, keveset aludtam. Avignoni állomáson késnek a vonatok, ennek köszönhetően Arlesban lekéstem a busz csatlakozást. Lett négy óra szabadidőm. Nem akartam ezt, mert fáradt vagyok és álmos.
Hogy ne legyen haszontalan az idő múzeumba megyek. A Luma Arles kiállításaira ingyenes a belépő. Ez az épület torony uralja A város látképét. Kilenc emeletes, fémborítású, kissé absztrakt formájú – a hozza tartozó park sarkán. Nem tudtam milyen kiállítások vannak benne, most sem tudom mi a koncepció, de szép épület. Az alsó szinteken van három fotókiállítás, van két terem, ahol videó filmek mennek. A harmadikon van egy könyvtár, a felső két szint pedig panoráma terasz. A torony közepén pedig van egy két emelet magas csúszda. Amúgy jól éreztem magam, még vissza megyek. A délutánt átaludtam. Vacsora után hajnali háromig mentettem a Barcelonai képeket és írtam róla a blog bejegyzéseket.
