When you don’t feel like leaving the house at the end of the day, your fridge can still deliver a delightful dinner. The avocado may have let me down, but instead, I created a rich and flavorful salad using whatever I found at home. Simple yet surprisingly delicious!
Preparation Steps
1. The base:
I already had grated garlic in the bowl.
From the fridge, I gathered finely chopped carrots, spicy pickled beans, diced peppers, olives (not the sweet kind), and chopped lettuce leaves – all combined to form the salad base.
2. The chorizo-onion mix:
I diced half an onion and sautéed it until it turned sweet.
Added finely chopped sweet chorizo to the pan, letting it fry until its aroma and flavorful fat enriched the dish.
3. Assembly:
I mixed the sautéed onion and chorizo into the salad, including the flavorful fat, to enhance the overall taste.
Served it with a slice of soft, camembert-style cheese, which perfectly complemented the dish.
This quick, improvised meal is not only satisfying but also rewards you with its delightful flavor combinations. 😊 November 14, 2024
